By luck and grit, I also applied to the School of Education at Stanford. As I mentioned, a linguistics professor at Stanford suggested I also look into studying Educational Linguistics at the School of Education. I got in touch with the Dean’s office and various professors. One of the professors was helpful enough to respond positively to my research interest and decided he would have the School of Education look at my linguistics application to be considered for the School of Education.
