In 2002, the following people initially put together this document. Rebecca Starr was at Harvard, now at Stanford. Aaron Dinkin was at Harvard, now at Penn. Yuni Kim was at Harvard, then Berkeley, now lecturer in School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures at the University of Manchester (England) Charles Chang was at Harvard, then Berkeley, then Cambridge, then Berkeley, now …? Tara McAllister was at Harvard, then MIT, now a Asst. professor in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department at Montclair University in New Jersey.

In 2010, Zachary Brooks decided to update this document. Won’t you pay it forward and help future generations of linguists? Make comments and share what you know about any linguistics school you come across. Share the bad and the good. As one professor at a UC California school stated, “Sometimes students start asking all sorts of questions when they get to the program that we wished they had asked ahead of time.”
